Testimony

Every teen-aged girl has her struggles, it comes with the territory- body changes, hormones, not feeling pretty enough- but for some, these challenges are compounded with unimaginable trauma.

We all know a girl like that, or perhaps, you were one.

Kristina was, too.

Neglect

Self-harm

High-school drop out

Eating disorders

Body image issues

Foster care

Familial addiction

Running away

Suicide attempts

Marijuana use

Insecurities

Self-worth issues

Not knowing her father

Anger

That list may resemble your own experiences or the experiences of those you hope to reach.

These are all risk-factors for becoming a victim of human trafficking.

Those risk-factors turned into reality for Kristina,

Growing up in Las Vegas, she was no stranger to inappropriate male attention. In fact, her insecurities led her to seek it out at times. Unfortunately, when she was 18, she gained the attention of the wrong man. He befriended her, gained her trust, and eventually, got her to leave out of state with him.

Once in Los Angeles, the process of breaking Kristina down in order to sell her for his own gain began. Held at gun point, starved, drugged, sleep deprived, and beaten for days before giving in, Kristina agreed to the unthinkable.

After 7 days, in the most unlikely, miraculous way, Kristina escaped.

But she couldn't escape the effects of the trauma.

Her body began to shut down. Panic attacks, mal-absorption, anger, hopelessness, and extreme fear became her reality.

After 7 years, in 2013, she reached her breaking point. She couldn't be strong enough anymore.

She asked God to take her life.

...and, He did.

He took it and gave her a NEW life! A NEW identity!

She never had another panic attack, and she was never the same.

Now, she boldly shares of how the One True God set her free.

One moment of surrender and Jesus has given her a lifetime of purpose, peace, and joy!

Here is what redemption has looked like for Kristina:
